Hey, this is Skin tutorial. Let's start up now. First, I think you should get MaxRas, it's very useful and not as hard to se as RASMaker. Get it in this address(search the list): insanepayne.gamereactor.net/utils.htm Ok, when you have loaded the MaxRas, you have to unpack some files. This tutorial is only for Max's skin editing so stick up, I'll post a Enemy skin tutorial soon. Start MaxRas and write (or search) ur RASMaker directory on left. Under "[OPTIONS] Theres a list, select Extract files. Now, get a file on "[SOURCE]" on Max Payne folder. The files is "x_data.ras". Look wheres "[DESTINATION]" and select a folder where u want the data files to go, and press run. Now go to the folder where ur destination folder is, and follow this path: data\database\skins\max_payne\textures Now you'll see the skins. Now it's your turn to edit them. When you've done with that, make a folder called "mymod" somewhere u want. Then make a sub-folder: "data", go to data and make a folder "database", go to database, do "skins", go to skins, do a "max_payne" and then do a "textures". Move the texture's you've edited to the new textures folder and open up MaxRas. You must see a place wheres RAS selected. Now next to there is a MPM, select it. Make sure that under [OPTIONS] is select Extract files. Now to [SOURCE], search up the mymod folder we created, and select it. Into [DESTINATION] search your Max Payne folder, and click Run. The Program asks you a name, so put the name of your skin or mod into that box, And press ok. When your ready, check that your mpm file is in the Max Payne folder. Now start up Max Payne and select the mod u just created from the list on the bottom. Now just go play, and look at your Max :) |
